Chinese Academy of Sciences Key Laboratory of Infection and Immunity
Introduction
The laboratory was established at IBP in December 2009. In the evaluation of the key laboratories of the IBP in 2010 and 2015, the laboratory achieved good results. The laboratory currently has 72 members, including three distinguished youth and three outstanding youth.
It is committed to meeting the national need for prevention and treatment of major infectious diseases. It carries out cutting-edge research on infection and immunology, and has made significant progress in virus infection and endogenous immunity, microbial and host interaction, natural immune response and effect mechanisms, immune escape and immune tolerance, as well as adaptive immunity and immunotherapy, which promoted the development of related biotechnology industries and has become an important base for basic theoretical research and related translational medicine research in the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases in the institute and across the wider country. The laboratory won first prize at the Beijing Science and Technology Awards in 2011, second prize at the Beijing Science and Technology Awards in 2013 and third prize at the Beijing Science and Technology Awards in 2009.
